From the match programme:-

"Club Notes."

"It would be difficult to find a more popular fixture on the Albion 'Card' than these Usk Siders whom we are delighted to welcome to Beacon Park, and we take this opportunity of saying "Thank you, Newport " for the very happy times we have had on so many occasions at the Athletic ground."

"The Hon. Sec. of the Newport Rugby Club is W. Everson, who has given numerous faultless displays at full-back both in Club and National matches."

"There is really verv little to choose between the records to date of Newport and Albion as shown on the list below :

                                 P       \V        D      I.   For     Agst.

 NEWPORT             25      15      1     9      229     164

ALBION                 22      10      3     9      200     186

"Through injuries, the Team Sec had great difficulty in finding 15 players to go to Bridgwater last Saturday. We would like to thank Mr. Summers, the St. Columba Hon. Secretary, for lending us two players. Cedric Bowden, who sportingly filled a gap at the last moment had the misfortune to break a bone in his wrist during the game; we wish him a speedy recovery."

"Peter I.uffman was also unfortunate in breaking a leg whilst playing for the Civil Service at Chiswick last week, we wish him good luck and shall look forward to having him with us again next season."

"On Monday, 26th January, Newport are playing the Devonport Services at the Rectory."
