"CLUB NOTES"
"While thousands of rugger fans are wending their way to Twickenham for the England v Wales game, we, in Coventry, have our own "international" game - our visitors being the famous Newport club side. We know all about the argument as to whether Monmouth is in Wales or not, but to-day, for the sake of these notes, we are treating Newport as a Welsh club. We know, although they are weakened as we are, by the calls of Twickenham, that they will play in the true Welsh tradition. To enable our supporters to follow the game at Twickenham we will endeavour to give you the scores (if any) from time to time over the speakers."
"What times we live in - I have already tried watching a game whilst "listening in" to another, and now I am trying to develop eyes in the back of my head in readiness for the time when it will be possible to bring a portable television set to a game."
"We wish to remind readers that " The Tatlow" are giving a report and photographs of Coventry Football Club in their issue of Wednesday, January 25th."
