"Club News"

"TO-NIGHT we welcome to our ground the Players and Officials of the Newport Club on this the first post war game
between the two clubs. We are delighted to entertain them and hope they have thoroughly enjoyed their tour in the West
Country."                                                  t .

"While we were on tour in Wales last week they were very helpful to us in filling a vacancy in our side caused through injury."

"This is our last game of the season and I wish to thank all members and supporters who have given the Club such good support at our games, to the members of the Supporters' Club for all the good work they have put in and lastly to, the Lady members of the Supporters' Club for so kindly providing teas for all the home games, their work is very much appreciated by the players and officials of the Club."

"It has been very unfortunate we should strike such a crop of injuries this last month and to all our players who are on the injured list we wish a speedy recovery. We are greatly indebted to our players for the loyalty shewn to the Club throughout the season."

"This being the last match for the Season may we say " Thank you " to all those who have helped during the Season. We have enjoyed it and hope all Supporters have too. Continuing our policy of helping in every possible way, we have, since the beginning of the year taken on full responsibility for teas for the teams, both our own and visitors."                                I

"Many letters of appreciation from visit­ing Clubs have been received and we are justly proud of our achievements in this way, and say a big "Thank you" to our ladies who have done such a grand job and to our many friends and players who have assisted the ladies in divers ways."
