"NOTES"

"WE extend a cordial welcome to Newport - our visitors for to-day’s game. The match with Newport is always looked forward to by Neath supporters and to-day should prove no exception. Our visitors bring a powerful team, which includes six Internationals. With the “All Blacks'’ undefeated at present, expect to see an exciting display of rugby."

"Last week’s resounding victory over Bridgend came as a pleasant surprise to Neath fans, and quite a large number travelled to Maesteg on Wednesday evening. Neath’s win by three points came from a fine penalty goal kicked by Grahame Hodgson. This score could easily have been increased by another five points if Keith Evans’ try near the posts had been allowed. Most spectators thought the try a perfectly good one, but alas, the referee thought otherwise and that was that."
