"NOTES"
"The weather and the glut of fixtures at the end of last season prevented the fourth game being played with our near neighbours. We won only two of the three so were not really foiled of four victories in a season by the cancelation of the last game. Instead of carrying the outstanding game forward it was agreed to play three games this season."
"We were hoping that Cardiff would come to us unbeaten but they lost this tag in a hard fought game at Bridgend last Wednesday night by a mere 3 points to nil."
"On October 20th, we play a Combined Army and Blackheath XV on this ground. This is a Memorial Match to the late Col. J. E. C. Partridge, D.L. The referee for this game is the Rugby Union President, Air Marshal Augustus Walker, K.C.B., C.B.E., D.S.O., D.F.C., A.F.C. Our game next Monday at Penarth has been switched to this ground. This will be an " all pay" game with all gate monies going to the Penarth R.F.C. Teas are now on sale in the Rodney Hall, at reasonable prices, after the game. Unheralded, our new score board came succesfully into operation last Saturday. A collection will be made today to help towards the cost of running our broadcast to hospitals, and we appeal for a generous response."
