"NOTES"

"The Bay Area Touring Side - B.A.T.S. are on a European tour which has extended more than a month. They come from California, U.S.A. Their visit makes history because we have never before entertained an American rugby team. Their proficiency at basket-ball promises an all out handling game."

"They opened their tour on the Continent and have played in Rumania and France. Nearer home they narrowly lost at Pontypool Park 13pts to 9pts and lost at Ebbw Vale Welfare Ground 12pts to 6pts. They have played the Wasps and London Irish, losing each game by the narrowest of margins. They have a match winning goal kicker in full-back Tom Blanchfield. Tonight's game is not an official fixture so members and season ticket holders must pay."

"Although we held Newbridge to a draw last Wednesday we languish at the foot of the Welsh Rugby Merit table (the result of Saturday's game at Llanelli is not known)."

"Next Saturday, on this ground we play the first of our four games with Cardiff."

"Members are reminded to complete and return to the Club Office by 7th October the application forms for the allocation of international tickets for the coming season."
