Joined Pontypridd 1999/0 having made 134 appearances for Newport ? winning Welsh Cup. M Webber Clubman of year in 1996/7. Mon & Glam County Cap, Crawshays Welsh, Barbarians 8 apps (incl Argentina tour 1998). Represented Wales at Judo. Rejoined Newport RFC in 2003/4 and made 150th app. Player-coach 2004/5. NRFC 1994/9 + 2003/4/5 = 182 apps / 8t.

Took on role as player / assistant coach to Dai Rees in 2004/5. Continued in 2006/7 as assistant to new coach Ian Hembrow. Appointed Newport RFC Coach for 2008-09 season winning Principality Welsh Premiership manager of the year award in his first season.
