Born Newport 1 Dec 1951. 6?2 & 15st 8. Hartridge School. Started as back-row forward. Joined Newport in 1969. Newport Schools & Youth. Welsh Trialist, Monmouthshire, Welsh Pres XV, Public School Wdrs.Captained United (1978/9: P35 W29 D2 L4 F816 A351 ? didn?t play in the 4 defeats). 1 game for Pontypool (Swansea H?lost) and Cardiff (Rhymney Centenary) , 3 apps for Ebbw Vale. On 3rd March 1973 ? formed then one of youngest ever Newport front rows vs Royal Navy (J Dale, G Williams, B Rowland age 22/23). Played vs Tonga 1974(W) and NZ 1980(L).
