Educated South Glamorgan Institute. Played for Neath in 1981-82. Joined from Cardiff RFC where he had been a replacement for the 1982 Cup Final but did not play. Played for Newport RFC 1982-83 to 1986-87. Debut at Pontypridd 10th November 1982 (Lost 17 v 13). Played against Fiji 1985 (Lost 6 v 7) and in losing 1986 Cup Final team. Formed formidable front row with Rhys Morgan and Mike Watkins.

Member of Welsh Squad vs Japan.

Later coached Usk RFC.
