Born Royal Gwent, Newport 13 Nov 1947. Lived in Pill until 5yrs old. 5?10 & 14st 10. Played for Pill Labour, Rosslyn Pk, London Welsh (won Welsh Champ) and Eastern Counties.Debut at Pontypool Sept 13th 1972 vs Pontypool - proudest moment. Played in winning 1977 cup final as last minute replacement for Steve Jones who had burned himself under a lamp. Also played for St Lukes College, Exeter while studying as a teacher. Went to London and played for Rosslyn Pk and London Welsh returning to Newport in 1972. Committee member. Succeeded Alan Thomas on coaching panel in 1980/1. 1972/3-1977/8: 184 apps / 13t. School teacher at St Julians HS.
