Born Blaenavon. Welsh Youth cap. Played 426 matches for Newport. Made 200th app at Cardiff on Oct 6 1984 (L) and 250th app in April 1986 Cup Final vs Cardiff and 300th app vs Barbarians 1988. Played for Newport against 1980 NZ and 1985 Fijians and in 1986 Cup Final vs Cardiff (6-22 down before losing 21-28). Resigned acting Newport captaincy in November 1987 (along with coaches Tony Faulkner and Roy Duggan) and joined Rhymney and Cross Keys. Played for Monmouthshire against Moaris at Rodney Parade in 1982. Newport Coach 1990/1. Later became Aberavon, Newbridge, Llanharan coach in 1990?s.
