Natal Sharks and South Africa. 42 caps / 6 tries (36 as captain) from September 1995 (Wales) to July 1999 (NZ). One of the most successful South African captains - record equalling 17 wins 1997-8. Captained winning Tri-Nations team in 1998.

Newport RFC captain 1999-2000 to 2000-01 (included winning the Welsh Cup 2001).

Captained Barbarians vs Wales (W) & England (W) 2000-01.

Wrote his autobiography, "For The Record", published in 2000 by Jonathan Ball Publishers in South Africa.
