Joined Newport RFC in 1990/1 from Bath (where he played in winning Cup Final 1990 and scored a try ? 32nd for Bath ? after running 70yds). He scored 16 tries in first season after 21(+ 1 tour) = 22 matches. Scored 2 tries vs Cross Keys in Sept 1991 to pass half century in 1st class rugby ? 32 for Bath and 19 so far for Newport. Left Newport because of pressure of work in 1993 but acted as scout for a time. Also played for Keynsham. Proudest moments were Pilkington Cup Final and appearing for Newport in Welsh Cup S/F vs Swansea in May 1992 ? losing in extra time. Scored hat-trick vs Ebbw Vale 1991 and was Newport?s ?
