Born 15th April 1858, St Kilda, Victoria, Australia. Hereford Cathedral School. Played for Abergavenny. Wales? first ever captain in Feb 1881 while at Camb Univ - only cap. Went to St Johns, Cambridge Oct 10th 1877 - Blues in 1877 & 1880. Joined Clifton RFC - lived in Bristol 1882-3. Played 1 game for Newport 1880/1. BA (1881) and MA (1891). Anglican clergyman and one of his sons became a bishop.
