Born 2 July 1874 Aberbeeg of English parents. 16 Wales caps 1898-1904. Newport capt 1903/4. Led Pill Harriers vs NZ Army (D0-0) Apr 12th 1919 at age < 45 in front of 10,000 at Mendalgief Rd and then captained Monmouthshire May 5th. Played 1 game in 1921/2 Invincibles vs Pill Harriers Apr 27th 1922 at age 47yrs 10mths making him oldest ever Newport player in an official match. 365 apps 1895/6-1921/2. Died 30 Dec 1928.
