Gave written undertaking to join a certain club if he ever went North to rid himself of unwanted attention. WRU got to hear and declared him professional. Played for Newport County Reserves before joining Swinton RL. 1935/6-1937/7 : 67 app / 26t + 1944/5 : 1 app. Died 3 March 2002.
