Monmouth High School. Played with half-back Llewellyn Lloyd 1897-1901. Good kicker. 4 Welsh caps 1900-1901 (curtailed by knee injury). Welsh Amateur Golf Champion 1907 and 1912 and Runner Up in 1913 Irish Championship.

Described by W. J. Townsend Collins in his book Rugby Recollections as "one of those great hearted players who refuse to give up even when the position seems hopeless. .... played the orthodox game of the day with supreme success. A fine golfer, a modest man, by profession he was a gifted architect."

A Sergeant in World War I in Royal Welch Fusiliers, having refused a commission. He had joined the Public Schools Brigade. Died in action at Cambrai, March 14th 1916.

Buried at Cambrin Churchyard Extension Cemetery, Bethune, France.
