Played for Eveswell School, Maindee, Pill Harriers (incl invincible 1918-19). Played for Newport RFC 1919-20 to 1922-23. 1 cap vs Ireland March 1923. Played in Newport's invincible team of 1922-23. Oldest player to make Wales debut at 34yrs 11mths on 10th March 1923.

A docker - he tragically drowned when he slipped on gangway 21st January 1924 at Ebbw Vale Wharf leaving widow and 8 children. Buried at Christchurch Cemetery.
