Newport born "Scotty" played for Wales U16, U18 (capt), U19, U21 (Six Nations and World Cup). Made 15 apps in 2002/3 ? making debut as rep vs Uruquay Sun Nov 18th 2001 and scored try within 2 mins. Originally took up rugby at the age of 6. Joined Newport Youth age 16 from Ynysddu after shining for Wales U16 vs England U16. Part of Welsh U21 side Dec 2002 that beat New Zealand U21. Joined Pertemps Bees 2004/5 and Pontypool 2005/6. Also played for Dragons in 2005/6.

Newport RFC record : 2001/2-2003/4 : 44 apps ( incl Uruquay match) scoring 9 tries.

Completed his 100th game for Newport early in 2008-09 receiving his cap from David Watkins.
