Sean was born in Pontypool but brought to family home in Newport when only a few days old and educated at St Julians Comp School.Was Martin Webber Clubman of Year in 1991/2 with Mike Arthur. Completed 100 apps during 1994/5 season. Played for Newport and Gwent Schools, Monmouthshire, Crawshays Welsh and also Pontypool, Abertillery, Caerleon, UC Cardiff and St Julians HSOB.

Newport RFC record : 1990/1-1997/8: 175 app / 4t.
