Newport born Alex has played for Newport Youth, Wales U19 including the World Cup 2005, Newport Gwent Dragons U20. Newport RFC debut as replacement at Pontypool on December 3rd 2004 (Lost 14 v 20). Member of The Dragons Academy.

Returned to Newport and Newport Gwent Dragons in 2008-09 after a spell at London Welsh.
