Pontypool born centre Gareth played for Newport Youth in 2004-05, Wales U19, Dragons U20. He played for Ebbw Vale in 2005-06 and made his Newport Gwent Dragons debut 2006-07. His Newport RFC debut was at Llanelli as a replacement on 16th November 2006 (Lost 27-13).
