Educated at Monmouth School where he was coached by John Bevan. Will has played for Newport U17, Worcester U19, England Students U19 & U21 (while at Bristol Univ), Wales U21 (Six Nations & World Cup Squad), Bristol Shoguns U21, Wales 7 (2 tries vs Fiji in Dubai), Samuai 7's (Cayman, Cwmtawe, Kenya). He was part of the Wales U21 Grand Slam 2002-03. Will made a Newport RFC try scoring debut vs Pontypool 6th September 2003 (Won 32 v 16). He also scored a hat-trick vs Cardiff in March 2004 playing centre (Won 37 v 0). Dragons development player.

Made his 75th appearance vs Ebbw Vale at Rodney Parade on April 22nd 2006 (Won 22 v 21). Joined Bridgend RFC in 2006-07 but returned to Newport RFC in 2007-08.

Scored Newports' RFC's 1000th league try vs Carmarthen Quins April 9th 2005 at Rodney Parade (Won 43 v 13) nearly 15 yrs after Andrew Lewis had scored the first on September 22nd 1990 at Maesteg (Won 28 v 10).

Will made his 100th appearance for Newport RFC at the end of the 2007-08 season and was presented with his 100 Cap by David Watkins and Will Godfrey(Director) on 26th April 2008 after the game at Rodney Parade against Bedwas (Lost 9 v 12).
